Blood Red Shoes is going Hard, and making Rock Music sound great in the process.

Cool.

Album: Fire Like This (2010)
Sound: Brit Rock, influenced by Revival and Garage Sound

Why?
Because their sound, while influenced by from everything from indie to rock revival… sounding like a wonderful mix of white stripes/ting tings/the subways/whatever other awesome I can’t find the appropriate words/bands for now… is incredibly original and energetic. With Steven Ansell and Laura Mary-Carter trading off vocal leads, the result is exciting and fresh sounding rock music. Showing range, distinction and clean audibility, they basically go hard for 10 tracks, and there really isn’t 1 that I needed to skip. Fairly interesting introduction to them. With songs like “Dont Ask,” “Light It Up,” “Is It Happening Again?” and the Steven led “Keeping It Close,” it really has me hoping to hear more from this band. Soon.
