The “Bill Nye The Science Guy Music Video Remixes” Appreciation Post.

*Update:
Seems as if it was exhaustion that has Bill Nye stumbling a bit. So hopefully he’ll get some sleep, have a great meal, slow down a bit, and relax.

Until Then, this has officially become The “Bill Nye The Science Guy Music Video Remixes” Appreciation Post.

Enjoy it like its 1996 and you’re in science class again.
—————

One of my friends was at USC when Bill Nye seemed to take ill and pass out. Paramedics took Mr. Nye to the closest hospital and the family says he’s well. So now I hope hes getting some rest.

Heres the first valid link I could find on it:
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2010/11/bill-nye-the-science-guy-usc.html

whatever going on… I hope you’re okay. You made me love Science, so I will always love you.

Get better soon, and get back to being awesome.
And someone find me his show on DVD, please.

And then, this suddenly became a Bill Nye The Science Guy Music Video Appreciation Post. Turns out someone has the majority of his Music Video Remixes online. Praise PBS Jebus.

Dude, get better.

I became a fan of Nye when he was a cast member of a Seattle comedy TV show that was their version of SNL, called “Almost Live”. While Nye has DC roots, he spent a lot of time in Seattle as he worked at Boeing, and made a lot of people laugh as a comedic actor. Do a search for “Almost Live” and Nye and you’ll see some of his best work pre-Science Guy, including a number of early segments that lead to Disney picking him up as The Science Guy. If anyone is a fan of Monty Python, I would say Nye is the equivalent of Michael Palin, both lovers of comedy and the mysteries of life. With Palin it’s traveling around the world, with Nye it’s science.

Someone unfortunately posted a video of Nye fainting at his speech tonight, and it looks like exhaustion, but I’m not a doctor. People are requesting that the video be removed, but now that it’s available, it will circulate and sadly be manipulated into something bad.

I have mad respect for Nye and the work he has done in the last 20 years, and I hope he will continue to do more in the years to come.

    Nothing quite fails like prayer.

How about letting him rest and see a doctor? That’ll work better than prayer. ;)
