Sample Appreciation Post: You know, This @Houseshoes | Dilla Mixtape is Overwhelmingly Amazing. #DillaMonth

When my boy said listen to this and spread the word, I knew it had to beĀ  greatness. So I literally downloaded the link he tweeted out without even checking what it was. It turns out House Shoes, in all his amazing glory, has taken every Dilla sample that ever mattered in the history of Dilla samples… from the samples for Janet’s “Got ‘Til Its Gone” to Slum Village’s “Conant Gardens”/”Hoes” to Tribes “Find A Way ” (if you don’t like ATCQ’s “The Love Movement,” I’m silently judging you)….. and turned it into a gloriousĀ  hour and a half journey though the wonderland that is Dilla’s greatest sampled works. With 5 tracks equaling 11 to 18 minutes in length, it’s basically an hour of unspoiled KICKASSEDNESS.

Download the glory by clicking here. Then LOL with me at the awesome that is the House Shoes Album Covers. Absolutely No Blasphemy-0.

Now this is a King James I can get with.
