So apparently at some point, Music Nerdery was nominated for Best Canadian Indie Music Site. Well Alright.

I have to be honest though. There’s so many things that are awesome, overwhelming and humbling about this… then there’s the things that are just wrong.

Awesome Wrongness: I mean, I’ll just start with my own personal failure of JUST NOW REALIZING THAT I WAS NOMINATED FOR SOMETHING. For some reason, even though this happened sometime in like… March… this link and situation just pinged itself into my search history and sight, so I decided to check it out and see what was linking me to MediaCaster (click here to see more). Low and behold… I find that CBC Radio 3 host Grant Lawrence has found my Nerdery worthy of nomination for Best Canadian Indie Music Site. Wow. Just… woooow. So from there… its great that you think I’m reppin that Moncton, New Brunswick… but I’m actually way down here in Southern California. The fact that you found me way down here though… is humbling to say the least. I am honored.

Kickass Overwhelming Humbleness: Dude… CBC Radio is huge. HUGE. *I* know this, and I don’t even LIVE in Canada to be able to listen to them on a regular basis. Let alone Grant Lawrence being pretty cool in his own right. To know that this man ran across my work and psychobabbles and actually thought that I was worthy of attention… there really are no words. Then I mean, there’s the whole list of people I’m included in. It’s not shabby at all. You’ll actually have me thinking I’m doing something valid and important over here. Stop that. LoL.

I don’t know what came of this at all. I’m searching the interwebs right now for some kind of conclusion to what happened. I’m assuming that everyone figured out that ONE of those sites is NOT like the other *cough* and was dropped from voting. Or maybe it never happened. Regardless… someone out there is actually reading this sh*t. I am honored and inspired to swear less and write better. And I hope whoever nominated me… is still reading this. Thank you for your time. All of you.

Now off to start part two of this madness… Who Won?
