So if you know me, you know that Me and Coldplay (grammatically incorrect; I dont give a shit) go back a long ways. A LONG ways. Before you were singing along to "Clocks," I was collecting their first EPs. But I digress.
Were all here right now to check that new Coldplay out. It's surprisingly upbeat and uptempo for a Coldplay song... probably the most upbeat thing I've heard from them since the "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" era... the rather pop-and-dance based, light and airy track is laced with those trademark guitar riffs, catchy singalong hooks and Will's eternally sexy drumwork. After Viva la Vida or whatever the last one was called (I like to call it their adventure into overproduction), I thought they might not be able to execute that old school, simple sound that I loved so much. And now it seems as if they're proving me wrong. Yay. [download]
