New Audio: D’Angelo Covers Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.”


So the awesome Spacefruits and 808′s brings the glory of this demo to my Ears. D’Angelo does Soundgarden. Signs of a new album. Swipe:

D’Angelo back! I’ve prayed ’til early May, fast for 30 days, and even consumed a whole jar of holy water (word to Erykah Badu), for the last 11 years, in hopes that Sir Archer would return from his extended musical hiatus. The afflicted singer, with the an equally haunting voice, has returned with a demo covering Soundgarden’s, ‘Black Hole Sun‘. Even in it’s raw and unpolished state, the track is amazingly beautiful. With tracks popping up more frequently, and his recent move to start performing publicly again, it has done nothing but fuel the numerous rumors of a legitimate album, actually seeing the light of day, within our lifetimes! Hoorah!

            well not having it turned in isnt the end of the world. i promise you.
            should i go speak with his studio engineer to make you feel better?

            What can he do? He can’t rush D. Questlove even said he wants to take the tapes and run. He’s had 12 years! It was 90% done in November. He’s just not responsible enough. He’s getting everyone’s hopes up again just to quit.

            well at least wed be able to figure out whats going on. i mean, at least the music is finished…. it just sounds like hes being picky about it.
