Cuddles with old school Michael.
One of the most unique and beautiful voices in Gospel and Soul Music. One of the most storied careers in music. Born with her instrument already at perfection, Stephanie had already stared in several musicals and plays before she went on The Apollo stage to win about 9011 times in a row at the age of 11 or 12. The acclaim and natural ability led to her landmark role as the Original Dorothy in the stage version of The Wiz, which led to her also becoming Michael Jackson’s boocakes for a while (explaining the photo above). Once the talent became undeniable and the fanbase became obvious, she was quickly signed to a contract 1979/1980 and quickly went to work building her discography over a 30 year period. From there, the R&B hits came like nature for a while (Something In The Way You Make Me Feel, the original version Home) until she transitioned back to gospel in the 90s, where she got her start as a kid… where shes been until recently finding her way to twitter. That should be fun.
She’s got a pretty awesome legacy you should check out. For now, I’m gonna go break out old tapes like its 1990 all over again. You find the hidden links in the post for fun. Then you should act like you know.
Happy (March 22nd) Bornday.
