Tour Dates: My Morning Jacket adds 17 dates to summer tour. Links:

Welp, another one of my popular favorites is out on tour for the duration of the summer. My Morning Jacket, in all their rock glory, just recently added about 17 new dates to their summer tour, filling out the majority of august with live shows. None in California… but I’ll wait for it. Not only are the shows set to be awesome, they’ve included a diverse plethora or musicians as openers… like Trombone Shorty and Shabazz Palaces. Wow. I’m geeked. Listen to prefix for more, and enjoy.

My Morning Jacket will be playing many more shows than previously announced this year, adding 17 dates in August alone. The tour will be supported by Band of Horses, Trombone Shorty, and Trampled By Turtles. Additionally, for the Brooklyn show at Williamsburg Park, Shabazz Places will be on the bill. In an admirable move, the band will also donate a portion of ticket sales from every show (after Newport Folk Festival) to a local charity.

My Morning Jacket will be making two stops in Denver immediately following their headlining show at Newport Folk Festival. From there, the band will make stops in Columbus, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, D.C, and more. The tour comes to an end on August 26, in Raleigh, NC. Check out the full list below.
