Oh how things like this make my heart pointlessly happy inside.
So when Nas announced he teamed up with Complex Magazine to work on a comprehensive list of 25 albums he loves and posted it to twitter, I was just geeked to see what the Queensbridge King was going to come up with and see if there was any albums I need to go buy/listen to. So in those little victories that make life worthwhile, I was casually scrolling through the list, not expecting too much, and behold… album number 9 is the songstress, Anita Baker. The instantaneous happylaughter I broke into was great. Calling her and her music “a guide to love,” Nas remininsces on how the album… one of the only Soul/R&B album to make the list… made its way into his life.
