Nas releases intriguing video teaser for new album; reveals official album cover for Life Is Good. Photos/Video:

Wow.
First of all, its great to see Nas getting all of this wonderful promotion and attention dedicated to this project. I am a long time fan of Nas, his music and his vision… even through that tricky Nastradamus era. Almost 20 years in, his discography is long and solid, his subject matter is intelligent and intensively focused at it best, his early works considered classics in Hip Hop. This album life is good looks to be pretty good, and it deserves all the press it can get. I am really glad to have him back after his wonderful run with Damian Marley, and some time (it looks like) to get his musical/lyrical focus back. It also seems as if your boy is also ready to address some things. I don’t want to hype it up before its out, but this album feels really good. I just hope it sounds the same.

So along with the official date set for July 17, the Behind The Music special, Daughters and the guest appearances in Nicki Minaj’s new video, the promo bus keeps rolling. Now we have our first official peek at the Life is good cover via an awesome teaser video that hit the internets today. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Beautifully and simply executed we find nas sipping a glass of champagne, deep in thought, reflective of how good his life really has been to him… with a simple green veil draped across his lap. His ex wife’s green veil from the wedding dress she wore almost 10 years ago. Its a telling photo… making it very clear that there are still thoughts of what they had in his mind; almost letting it be known that he still cares. Probably the most open I’ve ever seen Nas about anything, and its interesting to see.

Anyways, Ima stop babbling and you watch the video yourself.
