I just wanted to point this out really quick, as this is the stuff that Music Nerds dream of.

So yeah. Johnny Depp just decided to hop on stage with The Black Keys last night at the MTV Movie Awards. 2/5ths of Aerosmith showed up. No holograms anywhere to be found. Everyone rocked out. It was pretty cool to watch. I’ma let Prefix do all the awesome explaining while you watch the videos below.

Sometime around 1979, John Christopher Depp II dropped out of high school to become a rock star. Earlier tonight, he received his greatest crack yet at the once-sought gig. After receiving this year’s Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards, Depp took the to the event’s stage to jam the Black Keys’ El Caminohighlights “Gold on the Ceiling” and “Lonely Boy” alongside the Keys themselves. Watch both performances below, and yes, the two other dudes are Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith.
