I was in the middle of writing an awesome piece for Autostraddle that revolves around awesome chicks from the 90s who made great music. I had just finished my part on “All I Wanna Do (Is Have Some Fun)” when I caught the shitty news in my tweetstream. From how it reads, its benign and she isn’t stressing it much, but it still blows, and I still need her to be okay. Swipe from Rolling Stone:

Sheryl Crow has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, reports E!. The singer, who overcame breast cancer several years ago, faces a benign tumor called a meningioma. Crow originally let news of the tumor slip to a reporter from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, saying, “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor.” Crow does not expect complications from the tumor, noting, “It’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it.”

Crow’s representative followed up with E!, clarifying that Crow is not suffering from any symptoms and that “everything is fine.” “It was a random mention during the [Vegas] interview,” said the rep. “It was not meant to alarm anyone. She is doing great and is healthy and happy.”

I’m going to break out her entire collection of whatever physical CDs I have on this chick, and pray for a while.
