Did you know that I love Cat Power?
Well if you didn’t, you will find out right now.

So after waiting for the last few months while Cat put the final touches on her newest project, she has finally given us our first glimpse into her newest project, now titled “Sun.” To hype up the internets, she released the cover of the album, gave us the release date (September 4th), a YouTube video and a downloadable link of her newest track on her website. Its working flawlessly, as the feedback on the new track Ruin has been positive, and she has been trending on twitter for the last two hours, engaging her fans one on one via the social media site. Oh how I love you, internets.

And not to add to the hype, but the song is actually kickass. Nice Cat Power sound, great lyrics, updated production… this is what I need right now in my life. Nice summer solstice music poppin off here; will take with me to the beach barbeque going down shortly.
