New Video: Mega Ran – Buggin (The Metamorphosis). You should seriously pay attention to what this man is doing right now.

Why should you pay attention? Because musically, what he is doing right now is VERY impressive and pretty cool.

For starters, your boy is 2 albums into a 3 album, multimedia project dubbed the “Language Arts” series. On top of being generally awesome, with a wonderful theme everyone can relate to, great music, lyrics and beats galore, he also released a video game for the series, a comic book and with a brand new, stunning video for his track Buggin (The Metamorphosis). I will let the Press Release we just sent out explain in greater detail what the new album is about, while you watch the video for The Metamorphosis below and enjoy.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Hip Hop musician and educator Random, aka Mega Ran is moving to Level 2 with his next release, “Mega Ran in Language Arts, Volume Two,” the second of three multimedia projects.

The “Language Arts” series of albums combine all of Ran’s loves of the past 30 years and will simultaneously launch as a hip-hop album, a comic book, done by the artists at J1 Studios in Philadelphia, and a video game by indie developer Lunar Giant Studios, playable at www.language-arts-game.com

Volume Two sees Random struggling to make progress as an educator, while his students are addicted to a poisonous video game that is distracting them from their educational goals, facing a battle challenge by the most notorious gangster rapper the neighborhood has seen, while at the same time trying to balance music, teaching, and maintain a relationship.

The album features captivating guest vocals by Homeboy Sandman, MC Lars, Wordsworth, MeLa Machinko and many more, with hard hitting beats by mainstays DN3, EOM and production assistance by Bear McCreary, composer of Battlestar Galactica, and more recently the hit TV series The Walking Dead. The album, like Volume One, is narrated by famed voice actor Kyle Hebert (Dragon Ball Z, Street Fighter 4, many more).

“Mega Ran in Language Arts Volume 2” releases August 22, 2012 worldwide. Special packages are available to get limited edition posters, USB drives and more.

…and Volume 3 will release on November 20, 2012 as a joint venture between J1 Studios, Lunar Giant Studios and RandomBeats Music.

The comic is available online at j1studios.com and the Flash game is up and playable at www.language-arts-game.com.
