So I know you’ve been wondering where the hell I’ve been lately | Music Nerdery and Prefix Magazine join forces to create Voltron.

 

Well, no you probably haven’t. LoL.
Hey kids. Long time, no post, I know. But your girl has been incredibly busy over here.

So lets start from the beginning… but keep it brief. Really, the sudden impromptu break stemmed from straight up horrible eye fatigue, for real. I had been staring at various computer screens writing my butt off about various things for about a month straight and not maintaining a healthy sleep schedule…. and it caught up with me. I swear it felt like my right eye had just… totally separated itself from my brain or something. I had to back away from the computer and take a break. A LONG break. If I did hop on the iMac, it was strictly for work related joints.

Meanwhile, somewhere in that off time that I took… I finally got the courage after years to apply to one of my favorite Magazines/Blogs on the internets, PrefixMag. With a lot of encouragement from friends, and an awesome album from Danny Swain as inspiration, I finally took the time to sit down and crank out the best news/album review post I could. Lo and behold… Dave Park, the wonderful editor/owner of Prefix deemed me worthy of to join his team and start writing IMMEDIATELY. Wow. Someone of some actual validity thinks I’m good enough to write for their site.

As often as it happens, and as many sites that I’ve done light work for in the past… whenever someone ask me to join their team…. its honestly humbling and a complete honor. I have to say… this is kinda a mini dream come true, and a big step up in blogger/writer world. Prefix Mag is an established and POPULAR site, bringing in about 30 to 50,000 views a week. Its just… a good look all around, and I swear to WriterJesus that I will roll with Prefix until the wheels fall off.

As I just mentioned, I’ve already hopped in feet first into this new project, working/training with Dave, letting him edit/mold my writing awesome into what he needs for his site. Its been a great experience, with me learning all those little things I need to be a better writer. I’ve already cranked out 3 news updates with about 3 interview features coming up shortly. When Dave gives me clearance, I’ll be able to post more often, but for now I am happy to take it as slow as I need to. You can check out my articles out below:

…and as I post, I will bring my work over to the nerdery for updates and just to keep track of my work.

So, thats what I’ve been up to. Plus tons of other stuff I just dont feel like writing about right now. LOL.
To anyone who yelled at me to get back on my music nerdery, I really appreciate it. I just had a brief burnout for a while, but you know I could never leave my baby behind. Not only will I be updating here more often (back to normal), I’ll be over at Prefix Mag getting it in too. Just promise me you’ll come around from time to time and visit once in a while.
